Buchlyvie 10K is organised by Sarah Gleave whose aim is to ensure that it continues to be One of the Best 10Ks in Scotland. Buchlyvie 10k relies totally on volunteers to make the events successful.
Following the continued success of Buchlyvie 10K race, entries are now open at www.entrycentral.com for the 4th 10k event in January 2009. The run takes place on Saturday 24th January at 1:30 PM and starts in Montgomery Place. This year the numbers have been limited to just 325. The route is an out and back along a disused railway line.
There are some very special prizes to be won but the very least you will get is a T Shirt.
Ample free car parking is sited close to the start, with toilet facilities and warm up area close.
There will be a children’s fun run at 12.30 pm close to the main race finish area. Entries will be taken from 10:00 am in the village hall. The fee is £5.00, which is donated to charity and each runner will receive a medal.
All of the proceeds from the half marathon go to the Andrew Clark Trust, a British charity which helps poor children in Myanmar with education and healthcare.
2/3rds of the proceeds from 10k also go to the Andrew Clark Trust, and 1/3rd goes to benefit the community in Buchylvie.
You'll need Microsoft Excel to view the race results.
