The Buchlyvie 10k is now open to public entries through http://www.entrycentral.com
Please note that there will be no on the day entries for the January 2016 race. Everything must go through Entrycentral there are 300 places available but these have already started to go quickly.
This year is the 10th birthday of the Buchlyvie 10k and to celebrate there will be birthday cake and tea at 3pm at the prize giving.
The Buchlyvie 10k is organized by locals who try their best to make this a great day. The course is out and back and is chip timed. It begins behind the primary school turning left out onto Station Road

for just over half a mile before turning right onto the old railway track (predominantly firetrack and flat). The halfway turning point is at Barbadoes Cottage which is situated on the old railway track. On the return the course finishes at the primary school.
The race is run under UK Athletics Rules and is a Scottish Athletics permit event.
The money raised from this event goes to help our village hall, Lomond Mountain Rescue Team and other local charities.
Registration is at the village hall from 11am onwards where the race numbers can be collected and tea, coffee and home baking are available as well as other refreshments.

Due to the amount of people coming and going on race day any belongings are left in the village hall entirely at your own risk as the race organizers will not be held responsible.

We will attempt to contact entrants by e-mail by the 21st of January but in the event of poor weather please check out face book page or here on the web site for more information. Please be aware that we do not give refunds to entrants that can not make the new date.
The village of Buchlyvie has two coffee shops (Ground Bean & Bistro and The Coffee Kiln) and one pub, The Buchlyvie Inn and in all you can be assured a warm welcome and good food. Accommodations can be found at The Croft Cottage B&B situated on the Main Street - 01360850202
Route maps will be on display in the village hall from 11am on race day. The route is well sign posted, the organizers are being assisted by Central Scotland Police and a number of voluntary marshals.
As the safety of all is paramount it is a condition of entry that all competitors must follow the instructions of the police and race marshals.
There will be a short prize giving with the results in the village hall after the event along with birthday cake. The prize are for 1st Male and Female and 1st Male and Female over 50, there is also a prize for the fastest local.
Parking will be available in the lay-by, in the main street and limited parking is available in the school car park. As parking is limited please try and share your journey with others. There is also a regular bus service from Stirling (No 12).
