The Buchlyvie 10k is now open to public entries through http://www.entrycentral.com
Please note that there will be no on the day entries for the January 2017 race
The Buchlyvie 10k is organized by locals who try their best to make this a great day.
This year we are remembering Shazia whose business has been one of our loyal sponsors. Shazia sadly passed away last April and we are raising money for Amyloid research in her memory. Not only was Shaz a keen sponsor of the 10k but has also been a runner on several occasions.
The course is out and back and is chip timed. It begins behind the primary school turning left out onto Station Road
View down station road past the primary school
for just over half a mile before turning right onto the old railway track (predominantly firetrack and flat). The halfway turning point is at Barbadoes Cottage which is on the old railway track. On the return the course finishes at the primary school.
The race is run under UK Athletics Rules and is a Scottish Athletics permit event.
The money raised from this event goes to help our village hall, Lomond Mountain Rescue Team and other local charities.
Registration is at the village hall from 11am onwards where the race numbers can be collected and tea, coffee and home baking are available as well as other refreshments.
