Buchlyvie 10K is organised by Barbara Hillock whose aim is to ensure that it continues to be One of the Best 10Ks in Scotland. Buchlyvie 10k relies totally on volunteers to make the events successful.

The course is good under foot, there is a beautiful view of Ben Lomond thanks to the forestry for their recent logging! The race starts at 1:30pm from the layby, with Nick Nairn starting us off. It will be chip timed and ends behind the school. There will be entries on the day. We will possibly have up to 200 entries and look forward to seeing everyone. The registration is from 11:00am in the village hall and there will be a stall selling tea, coffee, pies and homebaking. The toddler group will have entertainment for small people.

2012 10k race starts at 1:30pm on 21st January 2012, weather permitting we will decide on 14th January if we need to cancel. The race will start at the layby and run along Main ST turning into Station Rd and onto the forest track and back . It will be chip timed and there will be a prize giving in the hall afterwards.
There will be registration from 11am in the village hall with a safety briefing beforehand. Car parking is limited so please share if possible. Entry forms are on entry central and Q buster.This is a SA permitted race for over 17 year olds.
Race started at 1.30pm on Saturday 2nd April, 2011. The race was open to all runners aged 17 years and above.
*Only entries made up to the 10th January 2011 will be guaranteed a medal.
Following the continued success of Buchlyvie 10K race, entries are now open at www.q-buster.co.uk for the 4th 10k event in January 2009. The run takes place on Saturday 24th January at 1:30 PM and starts in Montgomery Place. This year the numbers have been limited to just 325. The route is an out and back along a disused railway line.
There are some very special prizes to be won but the very least you will get is a T Shirt.
Ample free car parking is sited close to the start, with toilet facilities and warm up area close.
There will be a children’s fun run at 12.30 pm close to the main race finish area. Entries will be taken from 10:00 am in the village hall. The fee is £5.00, which is donated to charity and each runner will receive a medal.
The proceeds will be shared between Andrew Clark Trust, which is a British charity helping poor children in Myanmar with education & healthcare and Buchlyvie Hall fund.

In May 2009 the children from the Vera Thomson English School in Myanmar, had their first races along the beach in Lintha village. They had been running along the beach daily, getting ready for the SARAH GLEAVE Race. There were 5 races in all, and these races will take place twice yearly.
